What are the System Requirements?

You will need at least the following:-
- Windows 2000 or XP
- 1.5GHz or faster processor
- Acrobat Reader 4.0 or later to read the user manual
- 512MB RAM

ZoneAlarm settings

If you have ZoneAlarm installed, you may get some 'Dangerous Behavior' alerts.

This is because the PokerDjinn program executable file calls another executable file (javaw.exe) which is installed with PokerDjinn.

(Also, if you choose to launch Blitzwood PokerDjinn at the end of the installation routine, the setup program will attempt to launch the PokerDjinn executable.)

Provided the alerts are clearly related to one of the above activities, check the box "Apply this setting to all dangerous behaviors exhibited by this application" and click the "Allow" button.

The installation doesn’t start when I insert the CD

There are several things which may happen when you place the installation CD in your CD drive :-

If, after a pause of a few seconds, the installation starts then you need read no further!

If you get a prompt appearing which asks you what you want to do a ‘blank disc’ (!), click ‘Cancel’.
Now follow the "Running the installation manually" section below.

If a window appears showing the contents of the CD drive you can either double-click on the ‘setup’ file to install, or close the window and follow the "Running the installation manually" section below.

Running the installation manually

Note the drive letter into which you have placed the CD. (We'll assume it's "D" for below.)
Click on Start
Click on Run
Type D:\setup.exe and hit OK.
If you get an error message saying "Windows cannot find D:\setup.exe" then double check your typing.
If your typing was correct, then it's most likely that "D" is not the driver letter of your CD drive. In this case, try replacing "D" with "E". If this doesn't work, open "My Computer" and try all of the drive letters which are described as CD or DVD drives.
After at least some of the above, the installation routine should start after a few seconds!!!

Known bugs

Currently, there is only one known minor bug. We believe that the core calculations performed within PokerDjinn are 100% error-free.

On very fast machines, the "splash screen" which is displayed when you start PokerDjinn may be rendered as a grey square instead of the Blitzwood PokerDjinn image found on the CD itself.
This does not affect the functionality of the main program itself, and we do not propose to fix this until a future release.

If using IE6 or above to view this page, you may get an alert that some script has been blocked.
If you unblock the script you will enable a moving left-hand menu bar, but the site will still work without it!
